Sprawled stuck in this pool of yellow, faint light
It gets lonely here. My own sound is echoing.
Daylight, your hours so bright
Come take me, take me into your fair light.
But there's something I just can't dare forget
Thoughts of it keep crawling into my bed
Without warning, no hesitation
It conquers my imagination...
It isolates me like that pale yellow light
Against my will, I fall out of my own sight
My flailing arms seeking a hand to hold
'Cause it crashed into me unforetold.
Its unbridled luminosity keeps me cowering
From a distance its inviting presence so frightening
Could it be just like me, tied, awaiting the reckoning
Seeking the way to dry land, away from this madness, this wailing.
My mind wants to run and just hide
But my heart longs to stay and join the fight
Like opposite magnet poles these two consume my might.
And I'm... sprawled stuck in this pool of yellow, faint light
