Those who are believers in Christ,
Can no longer be decried;
Since they cannot be enticed,
For Jesus Christ was crucified.
Standards of the Holy Spirit,
Through Christ Jesus who gives us life;
Delivers what we inherit,
To assist coping with the strife.
The Holy Spirit has set you free,
From the standards of death and sin;
Giving you the insight as to see,
Victory as to we can win.
It is impossible to do,
What the standards just might demand;
Because the weakness within you,
Defies what all the laws command.
Even though we are a new creature,
Our nature is still corrupt;
That is from the human nature,
Causing emotions to erupt.
Spiritual nature we live by,
A corrupt nature no longer;
And we should never wonder why,
Since our faith has grown stronger.
A corrupt nature attitude,
Can become very hostile;
And also being very rude,
Keeps an earthly lifestyle.
But your hostilities will cease,
With His Spirit having control;
Giving you everlasting peace,
Spiritual nature in your soul.
