I Once Was Blind But Now I See
Acknowledging Our Own Veteran Terry S.
As my mind races to think of some important people I have within my life there is one that comes to mind.
His name is Terry S.
He has served his country well in the Vietnam conflict and it is known as a war of which he has served.
I am stand up and say thank you, Terry S. for the caliber of man you are.
May your praises we resounded over and over again for the sacrifice you gave.
Thinking of the back lash you have received and from you own fellow poets make me ill.
You should be revered and I am here to offer this to you.
May the Lord up above speak to the other's hearts and see the invaluable service you have given.
May we not ever become complacent and hung up on our own agenda and forget great men like yourself.
This is from the heart for which I offer this to you.
May you accept it and know I am affirmed in my own belief of you as a great soldier and warrior.
