O God of my righteousness,
Answer me when I call;
I am feeling so meaningless,
Catch me before I start to fall.
You have freed me from my trouble,
And heard me with every prayer;
Picking me up from the rubble,
So much I really want to share.
Please have pity on me O Lord,
While saying this little prayer;
And that this one not be ignored,
Since it will show that you do care.
I am not an important man,
Please do not insult my honor;
Just include me within your plan,
And being spared the final horror.
Why do I feel love as empty,
And I am just seeking a lie;
I am feeling anxiety,
And keep asking questions with why.
But I know God hears when I call,
For I tremble and do not sin;
And will catch me before I fall,
For keeping me righteous within.
So I think of this on my bed,
As I keep trusting in the Lord;
Knowing that the truth has been said,
And I remain in one accord.
The Lord puts joy into my heart,
As I can fall asleep in peace;
So that the dreams that I impart,
And the anxiety can cease.
