You reap what you sowThe sky is falling down say the merchants of doom, With the ghosts of misfortune entering their room, Purveyors of misery ultimately reap what they sow, Nothing appears positive, seeds of negativity grow, Restrictive, controlling, their influence spreads fear, Fire and brimstone predictions for the young to hear, Lacking trust in anyone, treating achievers with scorn, Taking each way bets for the sun to rise in the morn, They are difficult to live with, they're introverted too, Their pessimism infectious, spreading discord to you, One time friends abandon them, in search of the light, Finding a ray of positivity creating a future that's bright, Try to turn over the old coin, try seeking out the good, See the potential in everyone, wear a smile if you could, You make your own destiny, lay foundations on the way, See the colours of your journey, say goodbye to the grey, So if you reap what you sow, be more selective of the seed, Start each new day thinking about the inspiration you need Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
