Remembering My Parents On Valentine's Day

The day wasn't as special to them as it has become to myself.
This day was an ordinary day that had some significance to it but not much.
No candy hearts were really given away by my dad to Mom.
However, we did do something as children on Valentine's Day.
We gave Valentines to the class mates we had in school.
It was a special time for I really loved the ones I gave the cards.
The friendships we had were of the best quality it could ever be.
There was  a genuineness of friendship given to the other as we went along.
I am happy for the days we did this and had to show our parents the love we did as children.
That was the greatest gift of all was the love we showed to Mom and Dad.
