The face on the Moon--
is it a Man's face?
an aged face?
of wisdom and grace..
The Man on the Moon..
He looks down upon us..
Is it a deep concern for those
he sees below?
Watching and waiting..
what could he be waiting for?
A time of honor, never to have
been seen before..
Patiently the Moon doth soar..
even in the bright light of day..
I see him on a cold day like today..
Time goes by..with each and every
moment that passes by..
The Moon once came from the Earth
a long time ago..
And then came unto it's own..
like all good children must do..
If the Moon could only speak..
would he speak well of what he
witnessed below..
Would he blush or turn red?
Turn the other cheek?
Would he wish us well?
Only time will tell..
If only he had hands or feet..
Would he reach out to us
and help us if he could?
I'm sure he would, he seems to
be the kind and gentle sort..
So, until another time..
I bid you farewell and goodbye..
The Moon up in the sky..
"Are you really made out of cheese?"
