A Loving Childhood Memory

When I was ten years of age we  had moved to our new  home.
It was a place with asbestos shingles colored green.
The love was there and the happiness was there, too.
The memory was around Christmas time.
The tree Dad had chosen was  a live tree.
It had a smell that permeated the house.
It was a special time for us in growing up.
We had received  some baseball equipment from a friend of my parents.
It was a special gift of love that we had received.
This is all in my childhood memory.
The downer was when Mom got a hull lodged down her throat that made her ill.
We had to get the doctor to make a house call which he did.
Mom got alright with the situation she was in and things were better for us.
I remember this time as being  special in that I was ten years of age while my brother was eleven years.
We were in the fourth grade at the time and was really treated well.
This is loving to me in that the love was there from my parents and brother plus the teachers we had.
