Bora born

Boardwalk of silly walks _

I met father mick the other day
on the esplanade's raw cultured way.
He'd just been to church as you'd expect
now on his bike, body to keep fit.

Oh to hear him yarn is to be blessed
a story teller to cast his net
over anyone with some spare time
come in spinner he's not past his prime.

As we spoke of this and that, our man
came down the boardwalk's exercise track.
A vet you would think from Asian wars
battle scared minds most seem to ignore.

Up then down, down then up he must go
his tick tock beat marches to and fro.
No interaction there be, perhaps
we should all fall down on bended knee.
