This is what we have heard,
Saying that God is light;
As written in the Word,
Giving us the insight.
If we say that we got,
A kinship with the Lord;
Then we also have sought,
To be in one accord.
If we live in the dark,
Then we have been lying;
And we cannot embark,
As the soul is dying.
If we live in the light,
In the same way as God;
Then a kinship is right,
As we honor and laud.
A relationship too,
Between one another;
Treating them just like true,
Your sister and brother.
And the blood if His Son,
Cleanses us of all sin;
His Spirit makes it done,
To purify within.
If we say having none,
Ourselves we deceive;
Then the truth we do shun,
And we do not believe.
But if we will confess,
God is faithful and just;
While willing to bless,
Giving Him our trust.
