Humble believers should be proud,
Proclaiming the Gospel aloud;
Being humble plays a big part,
Important deep within your heart.
Rich believers should have pride,
Shown on the outside and inside;
For being rich makes them humble,
So investments do not tumble.
Of the passing of the hours,
Rich people wither like flowers;
The sun rises with scorching heat,
Burning the roots off of their feet.
The flowers drop off and plant dies,
Perchance the rich man cons and lies;
And then by the next morning dawn,
All of the beauty will be gone.
Bless are the ones who will endure,
When tested by an open door;
Knowing that they have passed the test,
Since temptation brought out their best.
They will receive the crown of life,
Because they could endure the strife;
And God has promised those who love,
Assured to have a place above.
But God is not the one to lure,
Since He is both honest and pure;
God is not evil and cannot sin,
To tempt and trap someone within.
You are tempted by desires,
From the feeling that acquires;
Sin is born and grows with each breath,
Then it finally causes death.
