Poetic-Verses

Pride comes before a fall

I had it all, expensive cars and paintings on the wall
in a world filled with envy I stood tall
money was my drug and I wanted more, I had it all.
I had it all, like looking from a hill at people small
and I didn't care in WHO's face I slammed the door
because I knew I could I had it all.
I had it all, forgot the days gone by when I was poor
I turned my back on friends I'd known before,
but they say that pride always come before a fall.
Now I've lost it all, people never answer when I call
and no one visits me not anymore,
but now I know the poorest man alive has it all.
