I speak well, but still God laughs at me..
Prayers so softly spoken..into the ear's
of the deaf and the dumb..so tell me..
why I still care after all these years
and why other's still don't understand me?
Fall unto the setting Sun
Watch the Golden Dawn
And see for yourself the crowning
Prince of Armageddon..
There's no mystery no place for the light to hide..
For darkness is to be seen with thine own two eyes..
Once youth had it's way and so soon age takes it's place
For once in a lifetime in the wink of an eye
so soon a measurement of time takes a broad look back
and sees with 20/20..
All that we thought was good and right..
Took on a different perspective..
once the scenery changed overnight..
Without or within the things that bring delight
to my senses..was just as easily lost
as a rich man's wife or a poor man's whore..
shaking his fist at the sky..
asking the burning question,
"What are we living for?"
To have just a wee bit more..
than your cold dead friends and your neighbors next door..
Not to bother walk on water I'll just grab
me a fish o' filet at McDonald's..
And chalk one up for Ronald Reagan
for not having his ray gun aimed at the heart of the Sun..
I crucified Bart Simpson so your guilty conscious
is now unburdened..
to each their own I suppose we make our own Hell
and as such make our own Heaven..
As long as I can ride my bike ring the bell
and deliver the morning news fresh to your breakfast table..
It makes perfect sense, I can tell by the way you walk..
That you have hands for feet and still you can't think
