Searching for peace
--from a pie..
Simply a slice to get by..
by 4 halves and a whole..
It makes no never mind
For one who has no conflict
with their soul..
to live simply or to simply live..

Act 1
Trust in me..
Trust in me, said the serpent to the slave..
As the slave jumped into his grave
and waved bye-bye to a world who could
care no less about all his troubles and worries..
Act 2
The journey..
So on his trip he went, a lonely sojourn
to the underworld where all your questions are asked
and Life's meandering meanings so soon come to pass..
Act 3
Pleased to meet you..
The Devil said to me,
"Come and sit, sit right here by me.."
"I hear you've some questions to ask of me.."
"Yes indeed, am I here to receive some punishment
from thee..?"
The Devil replied,
"Certainly not, you are amongst friends here,
we all get along most famously.."
"Here, have some tea and a tasty biscuit--
The evenings entertainment is about to begin..
Here we'll see the sinner turned saint
and the saint turn sinner again..
It all makes for good fun..certainly you'll see,
it helps pass the time away..
Later, after the show we'll all have something good
to eat, starting from the head and working our way
to the toes..
It's a feast of sorts..
Guaranteed to suit any palette..Of this I'm sure..
Here you can fly so high, but yet never leave the ground--
No tears are spilled here no lessons to be learned
just simply live.."
"What you're looking for is not meant to be found--"
"For sorrow chases existence, such as the serpent
who swallows his own tail.."
"Others call this place Heaven and others call
this place Hell.."
"To each their own I suppose, each according
to his or her own destiny.."
"The candle that burns twice as bright,
only burns half as long.."
"Does this answer your question, does this solve
your mystery..?"
"In part yes..in part no.."
"I understand, you're born..you live a little..
and then you die.."
"And no one cares to question why.."
"Does God suffer like we do from loneliness..?"
"For you were once God's closest companion,
were you not?"
"Yes, I was..and he loved me like a son.."
"And God made me everything he was almost
to the point of perfection.."
"But I could never be what God wanted
me to be.."
"So I left his house and I made my own home."
"Such as it was, like a lightening bolt,
from a cracked open sky..crossing over the
River Styx and through the Adamentine Gates
and here we are today.."
"Where I often say,
It's better to rule in Hell..than to serve
in Heaven.."
"But yet, I wonder still today,
if things had played out another way
what would it have been like
if I had chosen to stay.."
"Well..I suppose one will never know..
we all have a sad story to tell..
mine is just one of many.."
