Hallelujah, praise the Lord,
Show Him that He is adored;
For He is good sheds His grace,
Troubled times He will embrace.
Give thanks unto our Lord,
Be with Him in one accord;
His mercy endures forever,
And grace that will not sever.
Who can speak of mighty things,
He has done and that He brings;
Do you think the air we breathe,
Makes us able to achieve.
Who can announce all the things,
As to what each new day brings;
That He is worthy of praise,
And we worship Him always.
Blessed are those who defend,
As guardian and your friend;
They must do right all the time,
To punish those who do crime.
We have done wrong and have sinned,
For we are not disciplined;
So did our ancestors,
Being guilty as sinners.
The miracles gave no thought,
They pleaded when God was sought;
All for His reputation,
With mercy for salvation.
So we must never forget,
Exactly who paid our debt;
Always willing as to bless,
Giving His loving kindness.
