Laughing at Life--
Is it tears that you cry?
Sometimes it's nice..
to admire Life from a distance..
Perception is also known
to rearrange the mind..
At a glance across your shoulder
a soldier fixes his stare..
a thought comes to his mind..
"No, I shall not dare.."
"To question mighty Caesar
would be to end my joyous living..
of which I'm not prepared.."
The only Lions left are here in
the coliseum..
A righteous man is naught
to be found nor never shall
gain favor with the crowd..
To prove to the world and justify
the leader..A tyrant speaks well
when all is lost..
For black is white and discourse
is but a crooked smile..
A firm handshake that gives
and takes..
One that cannot mistake..
For you cannot fix a broken wheel
set into motion..
To do so would upset the cart
and stir up a great commotion..
The Greatest of All Evils..
is when the good sit idly by..
with their hands in their pockets..
watching the world go by..
Perversion is a warm blanket
of our new norm of reality..
Used to keep us warm..now
just keeps us safe from our very sanity..
Violins played softly are heard
well upon the Seven Hills..
Rome may not have been built in a day..
But burned quite well in just a
few short hours..
