Kittens with sharp little mittens
Oh how you love to scratch me..
You bite my flesh and try to pull off my very skin
Oh how you're going to get quite the spanking
..when I get home..
And still I pet you over and over again..
Puffy feeds you and gives you all the attention
and then some..that you deserve..
Oh, you little ball of fur
you little blue Russian
The cat's not just in the cradle..
he's also in the kitchen..
Either on top of the refrigerator
or he's got his head in the sink..
Often times he follows me right into
the bathroom and hops right unto my lap
While I'm sitting there trying to take a crap
Oh, the humanity..
he even watches when I flush it..
such a silly cat..
When you catch him off guard
usually after a nap..
It's a good time to love him
when he's still a little sleepy..
but, give him half a chance,
he'll scratch you repeatedly..
it's one of Life's few guarantees..
I do believe this pussycat takes great pleasure indeed
scratching and mauling me..even when I sleep..
he attacks my feet and often times I wake-up screaming..
We hate to close our bedroom door on our feline friend..
We're just trying to get some sleep..
It doesn't stay shut for too long..
We both feel guilty and soon enough it opens
but not fast enough for our little kitty..
He'll meow and meow and meow..
Till he gets his own way..
You should see him sometimes
When he's wound-up
He just bounces off the wall from room to room
up and down the halls..
And then another nap to regain his spent energies..
I hope this little poem
