Just shrink yourself down to his size..
Put your goggles on and pull back on his whiskers..
Sit back real comfortable on the cat's back..hold on real tight
and we'll both take flight..we'll fly across the milky-way in half a day
Come back home like we were never gone..We both jumped over the Silvery Moon..
And tasted the light from the heart of the Sun..by chance or by happenstance
we bumped into Aladdin he was on a flying carpet..holding on tight to a magic lamp--
He almost dropped it..He said, "I didn't know that cats can take flight.." I said, " I didn't
know either, until I asked him one night.." So off we went, in different directions..
he to the left and myself to the right..We both waved goodbye and good night..
He went to where the crescent Moon hold's the faith in the hearts of many a devotee..
I, meaning myself and my cat..sailed away back to where the setting Sun kisses the Western
Sky..Where the brightest and darkest minds tend to gather..Off to bed we went..
safe and sound under blankets and pillows filled with down..When we awoke..Mother was in the
kitchen, Father was at the table, having a smoke..The smell of black coffee and bacon
filled the air..Mother asked me, "Where were you and that cat at last night my son?"
"Well Mother, it's hard to explain.." "You'd might say, we were just out having fun.."
Mother smiled, Dad looked up from his paper, and I swear to you even on to this very day..
that the cat's got my tongue..and every event that happened in this caper truly happened..
From the ink in the pen and words drawn onto the paper..and whenever you happen to see
a small boy, riding on the back of a Russian blue kitty, in the wee hours of the morning..
Flying through the air..sailing with delight..It's probably me that you'll see..
Quite possibly a dream..turned into reality..~~the end
