When the sword is pulled from the stone..
would you make me your King?
Heroes are born, to some greatness is thrust upon them..
If you were in the right circumstance, the right frame of mind..
the right place and the right time..
Would you step-up to the plate..
Sacrifice and suffice it to say..
Everyday occurrences and to be so human..
Love is without and often withheld..
Would you place your coat over a puddle of mud..for a lady to walk over..
Offer your hand for someone to hold..
Build a bridge that reunites lost souls..
Feed the hungry and clothe the naked..
It sounds like I'm asking for the Moon and the stars above..
But, wouldn't it be paradise on Earth..
For everything you've got and all that you've made..
Would it hurt you so much if you gave some of it away?
Sounds like, Jesus preaching to the masses..
I know you've been taught to climb that ladder
and success is said to be measured in dollars..
The more feathers you have in that square little hat on graduation day..
The more pointed your remarks and hardened your heart becomes..
Just so you can live in a fine house, eat lobster tails and say,
"All this and more, bought and paid for, by selling out my poor excuse for a soul..what a bargain.."
Knowledge is power, power to use, but for what purpose?
To Lord over you? To see who can piss the farthest? Rub your nose in the dirt..
Hammer your cross into your grave when it's over?
Rise above~~surely we must..Evolve into a higher being, a higher consciousness..
Tap into the serpent..the Earth will allow you to..Seek out others who are in touch..
You don't have to die, to see the truth hidden in the darkness..
In school you were taught useless facts and disconnected numbers..
As an Adult, you've learned to cherish distractions..And society is held together,
by such compulsory notions~~
"We know what's good for you.." A six-pack, a remote control, Monday night football,
and later some internet porno..
Or, you can take the blue pill..and understand, the whys and wherefores--
As they say, "The choice is yours.."~~the end
