Lyle B. At the Fort Macon State Park

Some years ago there was a couple of tourists who ventured to Fort Macon.
The one who accompanied them had been there many times before.
The beauty of the day was sunny and cool not too hot.
Lyle B. was in attendance as they went to discover the fort's entirety.
Lyle was mesmerized by the whole concept of the Fort and the grounds.
The moat and the cannons both were sights he would remember.
It is strange how they got the cannons where they are today.
Lyle took all of this in and was excited to see the way the Fort was made up.
Happiness was felt as they toured the whole grounds and saw the things they did.
Taking with them the memories of their time there was something to maintain.
It is a long time since this happened but the memory is fresh for I was there that day too.
