My Hero--by Krysta Ray
Far away across the sea,
Is a man who means the most to me.
He is kind, funny smart and brave…
And it is his hugs that I crave.
He has always given me the best advice,
Even if it isn't always concise.
He loves me more then I may know,
It is something I will never outgrow.
My daddy is who I speak of,
This man whom I love.
He is a solider tried and true,
Protecting the red white and blue!
So even as he is far across the sea,
My wish is that he be safely returned to me.
