In Your Corner

You know I've always been in your corner,
for every trial that you had.
I've always been you greatest supporter,
for all the good times and the bad.
Didn't you know I've always been waiting,
oh so quietly in the wings,
cheering the part that you are playing,
never wanting to steal your scene.
If you glance around you on the sidelines,
you'll never guess who you'll see.
I know you've look from time to time,
were you surprised when you saw me.
I will never let you take a fall alone.
I will be your crutch at your side.
when life's waves crash against your ship,
I'll be the one to calm the tide.
When the storm clouds are upon you,
I will give you shelter from the rain.
When your emotions surround you,
I'll be the medicine for your pain.
You know I'm always in your corner,
ready to come and help you out.
Against all odds, no matter what happens.
I'll help you make it through another bout.
Mile by mile on this life's marathon you run,
I'm keeping pace beside you; all the way.
A constant reminder of what you have done.
Weather the storm, and play your part.
Keep running the race uphill or down.
Always remember I've been cheering from the start.
