God is light no darkness in Him,
There is no sadness feeling grim;
For a relationship with God,
Has healed us where we have been flawed.
Yet if we still live in the dark,
Then in light we cannot embark;
And we try to wear a disguise,
For our mouths are full of lies.
But if we do live in the light,
Then we also have the insight;
Because God is in the same way,
As you put your trust and obey.
For the relationship is there,
Since God more than willing to share;
The cleansing power from the Son,
Of the blood over sin has done.
The personal touch of the blood,
With cleansing from the crimson flood;
Removes all of the guilt and sin,
Renewing the spirit within.
If we say that we are without,
Then all others will surely doubt;
Saying no sin then we deceive,
For who would actually believe.
If we say that we never sin,
Then His Word is never within;
We are calling God a liar,
Making Satan the town crier.
Our God is faithful and just,
Reliable and we can trust;
He forgives if we will confess,
After purified He will bless.
