Remembering My Youthful Days in North Carolina

(Inspired by my brother and friend Ronnie J.)
The Lord was gracious to me when I was so much younger.
I grew; in a family who had principles and standards I knew only too well.
It was said I never back talked to anyone older than myself.
The Lord was the One Who gave given freely as a gift at Christmastime.
Santa Claus wasn't a part of the later years but was at the beginning.
Until I learned differently and understood the way things had to be I was happy to know the truth.
Jesus gave me time after time an opportunity of becoming a Christian.
I first accepted Jesus at the age of fourteen but didn't know what it meant to be a Christian so I floundered for a long time.
The ocean was a highlight for me as I would find myself going to it everyday after work or before.
I had a love of the popular music and would sing with it though I knew that was not really warranted and I should be singing hymns.
The other things were the times I would find myself longing for Christmastime and waiting to see what we would receive.
I have the distinct blessing of having a brother to have shared my life and we are close today.
The Lord has done so much to help me and give me the blessings I had hoped to receive.
My days of my youth are over and have been for years but the memories are there and hopefully will be there for a long time.
The Lord is the Key One Who gave of Himself to my family and myself many times which He always came through.
This is the kind of God I served then and today the same.
