 POETICAL ME

Chasing such Dreams

Ponder you will the past in the present
Sad were some days and too few the pleasant
Yet in this foot race you ran with the best
In mind you championed, fragile heart yours confessed

Chasing such dreams that came and still go
You harvest no less the good you well know
Brought you to this state of being today
The person you keep in soul stowed away

A soul that still dreams and chases them too
Of her or of him you breathe in real deep
Awake through this day, of dreams still you keep

Dream on when you sleep
For with some good fortune you'll once again meet
The essence of beauty you kissed when asleep
The piece that went missing, proof tears still you weep

Chasing such Dreams
