A dancing fire burns brightly in the fire place
A family sits with glowing happy faces
Gathered around talking and laughing
In its warmth of a cherished home
Homeless and cold looks through
The late window from the darkness
Rain hits the window as an old man's tears
Fills his eyes down his cheek
Thoughts of the family he lost take grip
Now dirty and smelly has all alone
Too late for I love you their gone
From a plane that went down and
Lost contact with the ground
As it crashed into a mountain in the dark foggy night
No survivors were found
With a hopeless heart and a bitter sorrow
He stumbles through the freezing night
Praying for death
So he can rejoin his family again
