her name is Philosophy
some people who know her
call her Sophie..
she is ruled by her emotions..
and at times can be quite contrary..
to please her and to understand her..
you often times have to draw her out..
don't ever mistake her love..
for it's always on her own terms..
I've tried to show her how she
at times is contradictory..
And try as I must, to come to a truth..
To discuss, at length..from morning,
noon and at night..
A polemic decree of epistemology..
With all the screaming and shouting..
From all the highest of all minarets..
to the basest of the street prophet..
To each their own..some feast on the meat..
and others on the bone..
I'd ask her, from where does knowledge come from?
She only smiled once, then waved good-bye..
Off into the ether off into the sky..
With the 9 daughters of Zeus..
Some regard her as your own personal "muse"..
I can reach her at times..
But, that's my secret..and I'll take it to
my grave..it's for you to find out..
