Poem 592 – Remember, The True Reason! – Written 4-13-14
Remember the true reason for the season
From John chapter 15 verse 5
Remember the True Reason for the time of year
That season one calls Easter remember, the true reason,
Not about the bubbies or chocolate or even the colored eggs
Remember, the true reason that He surrendered Himself
For All of Us that we might find grace
Remember the true reason that Jesus Christ
Had risen from the grave that day and that we might be redeemed
Remember the true reason, that Jesus Christ
Had risen from the grave that day and that we might be redeemed
Remember the true reason that Christ is risen!
Not the eggs, not the bunnies, nor the chocolate that comes from Pagans name of Easter
