Poem 626 – Passing & Promise Not Kept – Written 6-15-14
The passing of my dear church family member Joy Capua
The passing of sweet Joy followed as a promise was not kept
Passing and promise not kept to a friend
It shatters my soul to pieces
Passing and promise not kept
To a friend I am deeply, sorry!
Passing and promise not kept
I apologize for not reaching out to you!
Passing and promise not kept
I know your in a better place
However, my heart is heavy
Low beneath the rocks of haven
Passing and promise not kept
I have let you down and for that my heart
Is very shameful and is fallen like the depths of the deepest sea

Part of my integrity has fallen
Due to not keeping not only my word but a promise to a dear friend

Time I had to embrace because of losing her
Passing and promise not kept
Time I had to share with her
Time I was going to utilize
Fell short because I was too late to help her

I was not able to help her
Time I had to spend with her
Time I was going to utilize

With her daughter, I failed to communicate with her to reach her

Shatters my aching heart
Because my chance to see
From my mother's perspective from Joy
To help my mother and my relationship

Takes a happy heart and shatters it as if an
Atomic atom bomb went off and shattered everything!
