Poem 514 – Descriptive Writing in Poetry – Written on 4-2-14
Something I have not comprehended Is why am I so:
Descriptive in writing poetry but when it comes to
Saying something out of a spur of a moment
My thoughts become cluttered
Especially if it is academic writing
The words are there but
They do not flow as freely
Descriptive writing in poetry
Has me lost without words
For why I write as much as I do
Descriptive writing in poetry
Will stay with me as long as
The Lord will bless me with it
From time to time here or there
