God of Light

O light of light, beyond all earthly light,
shine forth in radiance divine
into this darkened world of ours
beset with lawlessness and pride
with bitterness and endless wars.
Make us to recognize our King,
Lord of Lords, Creator of the world,
from disobedience let us cease,
forsake our foolishness
for Thy mild yoke of peace
and end our lawlessness and strife
