The LightWhen things look the darkest and I can't see That's when I dial the channel of the author of light Then everything around begins to look bright I become happier as He beams light on me The Son gives His light so God's children can see There is no darkness to black that He can't shine through Open your hearts door and see what He can do Let the light shine upon you, as He did on me If the light looks dim and you can't see well Maybe there is something that's blocking your view The light can't get through if you're wearing a veil Let Him take away whatever keeps the light from you So often we mortals on this earth don't know That we need not walk blindly along in darkness If we follow the light we'll know where to go We can't get lost, when we're in His brightness Norma Duncan copyright 2003/2004 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
