I tilt my head to the sun
and feel the heat flush my face.
The sweat trickles then starts to run
and stains my collar adorned with lace.
Oppressive warmth upon my skin
yet the yellow orb of life has no heart.
Watchdog of heaven sent to cleanse my sin
and remove temptation with each cruel dart.
Yet there You are, my salvation.
An oasis set before my bleary eye.
You need no excuse or lame explanation
Yours is that endless love I cannot deny.
You soothe each hurt and sorrow.
You bring the ointment to ease my pain.
You give me hope insure my tomorrow
and make me want to live again.
For Jehovah all power, praise, and glory. Thank You for being there when no one else was.
