'' Reach For The Sky ''
What we have here,
We should hold dear,
So why are we looking elsewhere,
Our incompetence is crystal clear,
The truth can be so hard to bear.
Dwindling resources,
Mean planetary forces,
Are changing each and every day,
Yet still we refuse to change our courses,
Greed for riches will always hold sway.
Population growing,
Getting faster not slowing,
There won't be enough to go round,
It's the seeds of disaster we are sowing,
The conclusion will be profound.
Hurricanes and storms,
Are nature's reforms,
But her warnings we continue to ignore,
We just sit back as our planet warms,
This Earth is rotting to the core.
The melting ice,
May well look nice,
Look closer and open your eyes,
For our actions all life will pay the price,
When the oceans then start to rise.
Under the caps,
There are no maps,
Beneath that ice is anything alive,
Dormant germs caught in its traps,
It could be where viruses thrive.
Nature is our master,
We are the disaster,
We take but refuse to give,
The end is near it's just getting faster,
We don't have much longer to live.
We reach for the stars,
The Moon and Mars,
Because we know the end is nigh,
Truth is we've barely improved our cars,
It is madness to,
