Pure silence how it sings it's as if pure silence it rings
The very sound of barely nothing at all at the time..
Sounds they seem to appear to the still listening ear
As if faintly coming and then going all in perfect rhyme..
As a high half cloud hidden moon dimly lights near curtains
Strangest ever shapes how they dance slowly upon the wall..
And somewhere as if far away so faintly within the night
Came upon the gentle breeze the sound of a night birds call..
Leaves from oldest near tree brushed upon windows glass
A lone trucks lessoning gentle drone ever away upon a road..
Ever slowly as if it was so carefully making it's way home
After a longest day driving carrying as if with a heaviest load..
The wall shadows change shape as the moon changes it's cape
And the sound of silence again seemed to sing its natural tune..
As slightly drifting thoughts of once again come to mind awhile
And the stillness of night keeping it's company with the moon..
Ever slowly drifting off to places imagining yet unseen faces
As slowly the moon it fades and later decides then to shine..
And fantasy seems to become real on the wall with it's appeal
As the shapes change from as if from lowly to something divine..
There's suddenly a dog somewhere howls and another it growls
And the breeze grows stronger all with the flapping of tin..
Then once then again natures symphony returns yet as same
As the stillness of deepest night it returns again yet to win..
