Where He Walked

Where He Walked
By D. Cody Herring

Where he walked people would follow
With compassion and his endless love.
He showed kindness, healed the sorrow.
When he spoke people would learn.
He taught with patience and understanding.
Showed how in each of us a light does burn.
He showed accpetance to all he could.
Showing through example how to live.
Treated others the way we all should.
Whenever the chance would come along.
To show kindness, shine his holy light.
To be a hand to hold, to forgive the wrongs.
Where he walked to him people would seek.
To hear his great wise words, find comfort.
To sit in awe and wonder at his feet.
He gave hope to the world, he shown so bright.
Even the blessed blind could see his face.
With his compassion he gave them sight.
He willing took upon himself our sins.
Each painful drop of blood he willingly shed.
So that our lives forgiven could begin.
He knowingly sacrificed his life on a cross.
Our great shepard hung in pain for us.
So that not one of his sheep were ever lost.
To hear his teachings, the lessons he taught.
Miracles he had given a example of living.
To walk the way Jesus had walked.
