Poetic-Verses

'' You Stand Accused ''

I worked for years,
Endured the tears,
Enjoyed the good times along with the bad,
What I'm witnessing now has me in tears,
It actually drives me mad.

Yes I had vision,
To make provision,
My future was my main concern,
Because of this I'm treated with derision,
By those who choose not to earn.

Those on the take,
Yes I do mean the fake,
Demean the genuinely disabled,
It's their needs we now forsake,
Why should they be so cruelly labelled?

Taxed till I die,
No it's not a lie,
To pay for those who won't work,
Paying their way will never apply,
They look upon me as a jerk.

What makes me queasy?
Is they've got it easy,
While the workers are forced to pay more,
This very concept is really sleazy,
My confidence you will never restore.

Never paid a penny,
Their needs are many,
Paying for alcohol and drugs every day,
No rent or tax they never pay any,
We their financiers do not have a say.

Illegal immigration?
There'll be no cessation,
Free cash is the con merchants lure,
Bleeding dry our once great nation,
Is what we the workers have to endure?

We must put on a show,
Tell them where to go,
Our kindness is being abused,
It's time to say to the layabouts, we know,
For conning us,

‘' You Stand Accused ‘'
