The Wisdom of God 2
All other knowledge transcending,
Thy thoughts far higher than ours,
by Thy fruits we know their value:
love, joy, peace, goodness,
justice and righteousness!
We are like little children
before a loving Father
rewarding good conduct,
punishing disobedience,
not to be mean to us,
but to perfect us and
keep us from harm through folly.
Creator of over two billion stars,
knowing all their secret workings,
who can contend with Thee?
Oh, Thou to whom all hearts are open,
all desires known of good or evil,
be merciful to us sinners!
What in us evil, purge,
what is good raise and support,
strengthen and perfect us
through the indwelling of Thy Spirit
that we may love Thee completely and
glorify Thy name forever!
