I’m going outta my head
Sitting on my cushion in meditation
Crazy, or sane…
I’m just trying to be me
Recognizing that my thoughts
Are only a small part of my whole
Fractured pieces of personality
Gathered and reassembled with love
Becoming aware, alive, alert
Looking into the mirror of meditation
Wholeness, where only the shards were
Stilling my mind
Descending the spiral staircase
From my mind to my heart
Feeling the warmth of love
Watching my thought flow
A positive turning to the light
Without denying the darkness
Choosing to walk upright
Abandoning the idea of the wreck within
Acknowledging God’s creative presence
