Seeking Balance

 

Stumbling into the day;

Walking with kaleidoscope eyes.

Drifting with the currents;

I can’t find my anchor.

Feeling alone… feeling unfocused;

I am seeking balance.

 

I find balance an illusive shadow;

Unable to get a firm grip on it.

Searching for the keys to peace;

Listening to the whispers in the wind.

Unable to find it… becoming hopeless;

Yet I’m still seeking balance.

 

I sit down by the river and get quiet;

My breath becomes easy, my neck relaxed.

Gently drifting in is this thought that

The source of balance, of peace, of stillness

Flows through me like this gentle river.

Is this the source of balance?

 

Restoration and rejuvenation springs;

My toes dig deep into the soil like roots.

Through me flows the power of love;

This brings my soul into balance.

Flow out… then flow in… never stagnate;

Washing in the river of balance.
