Visions
The Depth of God's Word
A beautiful star filled sky,
the moon shines brightly
on a hundred mile
stretch of the river
while a thousand people
see a silvery pathway
across the water.
So shines God's Truth
in this dark world!
Everyone who reads His word
gets the same basic meaning
but a different angle
as it relates to them,
a different meaning as
their lives grow and progress,
as troubles mount,
as they experience
God's forgiveness or
His acts of providence,
His miraculous healing
and His strengthening power.
God's Truth,
oh the depth of it!
The wideness of
its application,
the inexhaustable richness!
A gold mine of wisdom,
of comfort, of courage,
of inspiration!
A light shining
in the darkness,
a beacon to guide us
into The Way, The Truth
and the life,
life beyond life!
Praise Him!
