The Lord has rescued me,
From powers of darkness;
And gave me eyes to see,
The grace of forgiveness.
Forgiveness that has brought,
Me into His kingdom;
Through His blood I was bought,
As He spared His wisdom.
The price He had to pay,
So He could make us free;
For showing us the way,
No longer sinfully.
Our sins forgiven,
As long as we confess;
For going to Heaven,
With salvation to bless.
Jesus is the image,
Of God the Father;
To all who acknowledge,
Christ will be your Brother.
Jesus is the first born,
For all of creation;
Came to earth to sojourn,
To give us salvation.
He created all things,
In Heaven and on earth;
The breath of life that brings,
Even on to your birth.
All beings seen and unseen,
Every king and lord;
Powers now or have been,
Tyrants and ones adored.
First to come back to life,
And is head of the church;
Victory over strife,
Calls the lost that still search.
