Visions

Abandoned House

How lonely
sits this house.
Abandoned,
uncared for,
pealing paint,
once so filled
with life and laughter,
a place of warmth
a haven of comfort,
and shelter from storms,
Windows broken out
like a blinded
old man,
a refugee
from happier times.
