A Poets Mind

A Poet's Mind

Poets have a strange mind.
While others see a simple tree,
A poet will see something more,
Something profound, something real.
A poet see a living thing; dancing in the wind.
A natural waltz with the blowing breeze.
Giving itself applause with clapping leaves.
A beautiful flower one may only look upon.
A poet sees a laughing child playing in the sun.
A young girl showing off her favorite dress.
Presenting herself to all who gazes in awe.
The field of reeds whistling in the breeze.
Others may hear the sound, what do they hear.
A poet hears a perfectly orchestrated symphony.
The sun; while others may feel its warmth.
A poet sees a life giving friend to all below.
Embracing it's friends in it's yellow light.
A poet's mind is indeed a strange mind.
But to fellow poets it seems so clear.
An adventurous imagination so fun, so queer.
What a beautiful way to view the world around.
From the sky above, to the plants on the ground.
