Poetic Verses
To Be Satisfied
With smoothness of tongue
And a self-serving will
There are those who will do
Anything for a thrill
Their motives are glaring
And so hard to hide
While their primary goal
Is to be satisfied.
These people spare little
In reaching that end
And with the game close
Even turn on a friend
For having their way
Is their ultimate prize
Ever true to a fault
So, be wary and wise.
Just be on your guard
And note what they do
For if given the chance
They will gladly use you
And feed on your goodness
Then cast you aside
With your mind in a blur
And themselves satisfied.
