He's Always There
Once I followed Satan's lure,
And my soul cried for a cure.
He was there, he still cared.
When your friends abandon you,
And you're feeling sad and blue,
He is there, and he cares.
When your soul cries out for grace,
And the tears stream down your face,
He is there, He is there.
When you have no one to phone,
And you're feeling all alone,
He is there, he's still there.
When you wander through the night,
Hoping for just a spark of light,
He's right there, yes he's there.
Through the wind and through the rain,
Through the joy and through the pain,
You know he's there, yes he's there.
When you cross that great divide,
He's still standing by your side,
He's always there, always there.
When you stand before God's throne,
You will find you were never alone,
For he was there, always there.
