A Poet's Prayer
Make my words good,
Oh Lord,
make my words good
that they may touch one heart,
that they may move one stubborn will.
Make my words good,
oh Living Word,
Divine Logos
who speaking
created Heaven and Earth.
Make my words good
when all we have are words
when the enemy
posseses all the guns,
the money and the power!
Oh Lord my God,
Help of the helpless,
Strength of the weak,
Hope of the hopeless,
Make my words good!
"Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth,
and teach thee what thou shalt say."Ex.
