The Lottery
How many times one will sit and silent make that wish
That if somehow there were to be given that lucky gift
The one that will be accepted willingly and so happily
It would be becoming the winner of the national lottery
This of course would be one of such a momentous occasion and proportion
As now having that ability and finance to bring some dream to fruition
This would take the heights of one joy beyond the time and era
Surely there level will be tantamount to bliss and of course euphoria
But Alas! This celebration can be marred by the weight of this burden
Because there will be those regular approaches by many a person
Bombarding the ears and playing on the mind with those hard luck stories
Trying to make you feel both sorry and guilty and will take care of their needs
Something else that would be surprising and hard to comprehend
How all of a sudden you are popular and have acquired some new friends
Seemingly to have known you for many years and want your company
Hoping to catch you off guard and will extend a loan or gift of the money
But how does people perceived intelligent can come to this thinking
Believing that since you have made the fortune by the route of winning
That there should be reluctance not a hint of the slightest problem
To give it away when asked because to them it was easy in coming
This moment too can be a field day for those scammers and charlatans
Who have up that proverbial sleeve all types of sure win plans?
Like trying to sell such a beautiful and upscale real estate
Also those many stocks and shares which yield a profitable intake
So people if by chance you happen to be fortunate to win
Try not to get intoxicated or by situation get overwhelm
Take time out, relax try to clear the head and calm those nerves
And when giving ensure it is to those where justly deserves
