They stand in a grassy field
just beyond my reach,
I've seen them every single day
running along the sands on the beach.
I look at them in amazement
beneath the early morning light,
their silhouettes dance together
'neath the shining moon at night.
They have gotten used to me
being around every single morn,
I have brought them up myself
from the first minute they were born.
The brother and sister graze
on the grasses that are so sweet,
I do my best to keep quiet
upon the grass, I have a seat.
I don't know what ever happened
to their father and mother,
I carefully watch over them
the sister and her brother.
I found them in the field one day
scared and on their own,
I took it upon myself
to give them a happy, loving home.
