We need to get on our knees and pray
In praises to God, let our hymns be heard
Listen to the preacher, tell of God's word
Old time religion is not out of style,
It's still around for Jew and Gentile
The Spirit of God is flowing full and free
It's still available for you and me
Come on now Jesus is the high we need
He's much better than alcohol or weed
He can cleanse all the dirt we have inside
Then come in our heart and abide
Jesus can give us more abundant life
Help us with our troubles and strife
Old time religion is for us all
It can help our nation not to fall
In the white house, in every place
God can help with problems we face
We need to give to Him our fate
Ask for His forgiveness before it's too late
No sexy novel or magazine can offer
As much as the Bible's Holy Theme
Open it up, read what God has to say
